| well, my job made the inquirer on saturday for boozing it up and turning away needy social workers. classy. i hear there are pictures circulating of me orchestrating a wet t-shirt contest for the judges to compete in. not really, but we did make the paper:

| so i have no money..... why do i have no money? because i got a new car and immediately after that my hard drive imploded (at least that's what it sounded like) and i had to buy a new computer. annnnnnnnd it's christmas time. used books for christmas anyone? because that's all you're getting. and my currently reading is a little premature because i'm re-reading pride and prejudice first. i had to reacquaint myself with austen after (reluctantly) seeing that keira knightley monstrosity of an "adaptation". anyways, congrats to eric and marijke. though i enjoyed their wedding, i don't think i'll be contra dancing again any time soon unless i suddenly find some contra dancing skill in the basement like the zathura game or something. | | |
| recent happenings.... i was kissed on the head by a stranger at a hockey game, i was actually at a hockey game, saw saw II - gore galore but i enjoyed it up to the not so good ending, saw jarhead (it was kind of disturbing to see jake gyllenhaal in nothing but two santa hats and a g-string... and he was gyrating. but i still liked the movie, so hoo-ra and all that), decided to sell my bmw, looked at some used cars and after one day became annoyed with the car buying process, and booked a hotel in vegas for my vacation in march. i'm sure there's more but it can't be as interesting as a gyrating jake gyllenhaal.
reading narnia. i figure, it's time i got through all 7.
| home. in the middle of the day. what have i learned? there is absolutely nothing good about daytime television.
sinus headache and migraine have driven me out of the office and into my bed. they will not, however, ruin the wonderful seneca lake wine tour scheduled for this weekend. and i won't tolerate a stuffy nose because then i won't be able to taste the wine. though i will still buy cases of wine that i think i will like because they will be cheaper up there. so sinuses... either you let me taste the wine and then i'll buy what i like or i'll just buy some and risk having bottles of something that i will eventually taste and hate. the choice is yours.
ahh, and for jerusha (who i have neglected and for this i apologize) - a work story. we received this psychological evaluation completed by this doctor who we call the sexual deviant because he is shameless in telling us about his sexual escapades from the weekends. well, in this eval he describes the woman he's evaluating and, in great detail, discusses her plunging neckline and protruding bosom and golden jewelry falling just so down the plunging neckline exposing the protruding bosom. he then moves lower down and describes how the dress (which housed the plunging neckling) was a tight-fitting leopard skin piece that was sheer and revealing. and short because, apparently, when she sat down it did not cover her lower half. we still don't know what he meant by that but we do think he may have been eyeing up his escapade for that weekend :).
and lastly for timothy who is now wed but who i did not get to see be wed. happy being wed.

| | Currently Watching Proof By Gwyneth Paltrow, Anthony Hopkins, Jake Gyllenhaal, Hope Davis see related |
well, it's been a while.
so my pastor starts talking about how he loves george eliot's "middlemarch" and how he thinks it's the best piece of english lit. so i said i'd read it. well, it's 900 pages. small print. hello tolstoy...
my car is gurgling and it sounds like the enginge is falling apart. really. the pieces actually sound loose. not good. not good. and news flash - applying to grad school is expensive. especially when you're applying to five schools. goodbye savings...
and despite what my critic twin has said, i really enjoyed proof. i found a love for gwyneth paltrow i didn't know i had. and continued a love for jake gyllenhaal that i've always known i had. and anthony hopkins still creeps me out.
